last year moscow records set up sub-label moss co and each release so far has introduced a new set of artists. for this third release it is nu zau, aka stefan gabriel zamfir and loopdeville, aka d zlatinov. nu zau debuted on fear of flying in 2012 and his 2013 was prolific with seven releases added to his name. he provides an 11-minute drum track, *cumse cuvine*, that is filled with kooky and super minimal, squeaks, tweets and vocal samples, a fine production. loopdevilles kick drum on *piance* in comparison to zaus a-side is standout, and here he provides a cold and moody track designed for those deeper moments of the night. it is the london-based producers third release after debuting in 2013 with two 12 inches, one of which, phantasmagoria, inaugurated new label delooped.

jenifa mayanja and dakini9 (aka lola) are back with the third installment on their label sound warrior, this time with two new artists beginning to make a name for themselves in the underground electronic music scene.

skylax welcomes f.t.g., known to house music scholars as freddy the groove, and his many friends for our next release in 2014. last year, f.t.g. and his italian partner in crime, marco riff (who also appears on this very record), pressed a very limited run of a single-sided, special throwback tribute to late 80s chicago house music. the track was aptly named ‘tribute ’89’, and it put a more dancefloor oriented twist on a track by a certain originator with the initials r.h. needless to say, it became highly sought-after incredibly quickly and fuel was further added to the fire by the repeated club play by none other than the dj idol ricardo villalobos. luckily for our followers, that original mix appears on this ep with another unreleased mix of the track and 2 originals featuring belfie and alex tea alongside f.t.g.with enough said about ‘tribute ‘89’ itself, the unreleased mix maintains the warehouse vibe with a heavy kick and bouncing bass pattern but takes it to another level with the introduction of rolling vocal cuts and a rather ravey synth line. flipping over the to b-side, we are treated with two tracks by f.t.g. and alex tea, named ‘public enemy’ and ‘bango’, with the former also seeing belfie lend a helping hand in the production. both of these originals round out the record nicely and cement it as another skylax release that is definitely not to be missed

petter b delivers an outstanding new ep on drumcode proving that swedish techno is thriving! the first track which, is a collaboration between petter b, john h & m.e.e.o, uses an arpegiated synth before storming to the main section of the track and breaking down the doors. the gliding synth sounds really fire with all guns blazing to produce a techno monster that growls. petter bs next two tracks involve two solo offerings that are heavily techno based.voltage controlled time uses raw distorted drums and a catchy synth line to really give the track a lot of energy and power.

sleeparchives influential minimalistic power in combination with the unique, endlessly evolving sound of mike parker, appear together for the first time on rptch04 split ep.
sleeparchive starts off on the a side, creating industrious textures with *fifth station* followed by two (endless) loops that lead to the a2 *white angel breadline*, a mesmerizing track with the classic sleeparchives timbre and brightness.
mike parker is responsible for one of the most recognizable sound of techno which is characterized by sublime, fluid atmospheres and never-ending hypnotic sequences. repitch recordings introduces him on the b-side with *flying nerves* and *lustrum*, leaving an indelible mark on the eleventh release of the italian berlin based label.

londoners kiwi and ashworth return to sneaky for a follow-up to dawn ep, the warm, dusty and at times experimental release, championed by the likes of daniel avery, eric duncan and tiefschwarz. the past few months have been busy for both halves of the duo, with kiwi signing to duke dumont s blase boys club and remixing for house music super-labels bpitch control and get physical, whilst ashworth has signed music to tomoki tamura s holic trax and needwant. second ep takes a new format, with two original tracks alaska and na am on the a-side, backed up by a nicholas & marcoradi remix of cux3 and ranacat s remix of zubr. alaska could be described as an amalgamation of the inspirations that lead to the first sneaky release, combining the pumping house beats of cux3, the comforting wurlitzer of zubr and the ethereal movie-soundtrack dusk. na am is something totally different, existing mainly as a collage of recorded and found sounds, avoiding the usual structure of house music in favour of something reminiscent of the weirder side of the chemical brothers. strange though the track may be, the climax would undoubtedly move a room full of pilled up ravers to a state of frenzy. the b-side remixes both hint to dance floors of the 90s, with nicholas and marcoradi making you wait and wait before dropping an unforgettable piano hook, whilst sneaky s ranacat lifts zubr out of context and into peak time territory.

l 33... get acquainted as we think it is a name you will be hearing a lot more of in the future. hailing from the creative d&b hotbed that is bulgaria, l 33 has been creeping up the ranks with covert diligence and a sonic attitude that is going to take him right to the top. already enjoying big love and support from scene titans drum&bassarena, here we find him making his program debut with two scorching underground future-focused work-outs. recognise... it is time, once again, to get with the program!

proud yorkshire label hudd traxx have been putting out a reliable stream of quality deep house since 2005, with artists like dj sneak, rick wade, iron curtis, jay bliss and agnes just some of the many names to appear on the label. this 46th release features three debutants, while the fourth name, j.t. donaldson, spearheads the release with a wishy-washy, bassline driven deep house vocal cut -got myself together-. hudd traxx provides dusseldorf producer maximiljan with his first physical release with the track -son of a- which merges the linear 909 house style of norm talley with smooth chords and cheeky vocals similar to the now defunct swiss house duo azuni. but most interesting for the label on this release, it s the two new names in professional gigolo and tuneon that prove hudd traxx still know where to look when it comes to unearthing new and vibrant talent.

tian gjevik (eod,cn), passionate and curious about electronic music, found in a trondheim thrift store a tape of the norwegian legendary project : the educational music -sports/tools-. he contacted one of the two composers called dildrian schrodinger. he has managed to negociate with him a deal for a vinyl license with weme records. we can find in this project ordered by the norwegian state all an experimentation work with electronic machines from the 1980 s. it is sometimes accompanied by a clumsy singing quite modern at that time.

purple velvet is chris james and lee dearn, two purveyors of deep and sensuous house music since forming in late 2011. having gotten to know each other at various late night music sessions, the pair have increasingly honed their own house sound that s as suited to the dark confines of a club as it is the sunnier vibes of an outdoor terrace.

accompany the reissue of woo s into the heart of love, emotional rescue is releasing a limited 7inch featuring songs not included on the vinyl pressing, plus a previously unreleased version of the beautiful title song, which only appeared in later form on their cd only, la luna album. with the original into the heart of love album only appearing as a 60 minute cassette-only release, several of the albums songs could not make the first time vinyl issue from emotional rescue. therefore, this limited edition 7inch includes two of those ommited songs. the wistful english folk duet between mark ives and sue amor on make me tea and it s sibling on the album, a little long way. possibly woo s most straight forward folk song, make me tea is as the title imagines a very particular english poem. recording as a duet between two late night lovers, awaking from post-love making slumber to find peace and with it, a nice, perfect cup of tea. however, it is the inclusion of the unreleased version of the title song, magic in the dark that is worth the admission price alone. taken from the cd only album, la luna, the original s short and gentle story of late night love is presented here in it s alternate demo form. a different vantage point is shown in revelation and then exhaltation. the sadder start expands in to a beautiful and wonderus folk celebration. mark s vocals and guitar are later joined by gentle rhythmic percussion from brother clive, before clarinets duet to a yearning finale. woo once again showing their unique mix of folk and new age electronics. a one off to cherish.

if you re going to beat em down, you need the right tools. on the label s second release, grimy trax has given you a couple hammers. the a-side, dejay cease s the fixer is straight chicago. we re talking banging 909 funk that might be found buried on a particularly unhinged ron hardy mix. a simple bass line and two notes of acid are all it takes to make the floor go wild. this is functional heat with enough atmosphere to engage the mind, body and soul. on the b-side, rising chicago son boogienite proves he s earned the hype. boy, ok is an instant classic thanks to some recognizable disco strings and a funky escalator of a bassline. the producer uses a trippy, rubberband synth which eventually turns into rhythmic, teasing vocal. the mixdown is ridiculous, especially as the lengthy track passes the halfway mark. boogie brings the bassline in and out in between beautiful ambient rhodes and a call and response male and female vocal. those strings hit again and you feel no pain.
